AssistAlert:
Taiwan to Require Online-Only Arrival Card
Starting October 1, 2025

Effective October 1, 2025, Taiwan will require all eligible foreign travelers to complete the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) online within three days prior to arrival, as announced by the National Immigration Agency. Paper forms will no longer be distributed in-flight or accepted upon entry after this date. Until September 30, both paper and online submissions remain valid. The requirement applies to most foreign nationals, including visitors from Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China holding specific entry permits, but excludes holders of Taiwan Resident Certificates, resident visas, or diplomatic IDs. Travelers should complete the form via the official portal on the Taiwanese National Immigration Agency Website and submit within 3 days of arrival.

ADVICE

  • Complete the online Arrival Card within 3 days before your flight to avoid delays at immigration.
  • Only submit through https://twac.immigration.gov.tw to ensure accuracy and security.
  • For groups and families, include this step in your pre-departure checklist to avoid issues upon arrival.
