Authorities continue monitoring potential Tropical Cyclone One as it tracks northeast along the northwestern Gulf Coast of the United States and is expected to bring periods of heavy rainfall, localized flooding, strong winds, and hazardous coastal conditions until June 19th. Conditions are expected to affect portions of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Weather alerts remain in effect across parts of the region, and additional advisories or emergency measures may be issued as conditions evolve.
Travelers should anticipate transportation disruptions across impacted areas. Flooding and standing water may affect major highways, local roads, rail networks, and access routes to transportation hubs. Flight delays and schedule changes are possible throughout the region, including at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas where weather-related impacts have already been noted. Port operations and coastal access points may also experience temporary interruptions due to rough sea conditions and safety assessments.
- Monitor local news for updates & follow all official directives.
- Avoid flooded areas and stay indoors during severe weather.
- Prepare a three-day supply of provisions and non-perishables.
- Confirm all transport reservations.
