Hurricane Lowell, a Category 2 hurricane, is affecting Hawaii as of September 8, bringing heavy rainfall, flooding, and strong winds across multiple islands. A Hurricane Warning remains in effect for Kauai County, while a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Oahu. Authorities have also declared a statewide State of Emergency to support response and recovery operations.
