Authorities continue to respond after Typhoon Noul made landfall along China’s southern coast, bringing strong winds and heavy rainfall that led to widespread evacuations and transportation disruptions across Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, and surrounding areas. While the storm has weakened inland, recovery operations remain underway and transportation networks are gradually resuming operations. Heavy to torrential rainfall is expected to continue across parts of southern and central China through at least July 29, increasing the risk of localized flooding, landslides, and other travel delays.
