Malaria Awareness & Prevention

Every April, the world recognizes and brings awareness to malaria. World Malaria Day is intended to help showcase the widespread global efforts to control and eliminate the disease.

Malaria is a serious and sometimes fatal disease which is transmitted to humans through the bites of parasite-infected mosquitoes. Travelers going to a country where malaria transmission cases are reported should take precautions.

To help you in this process, Assist America has put together a document to give you an overview of what malaria is, which regions of the world are affected, how to prevent the disease and treat it.
